The Seawolves (10-2) are currently 2nd in both the Western Conference and the Major League Rugby… so now is the time to join in as we hunt for the playoffs in late June!
I wanted to let you know about our annual Pride Night coming up on Sunday, June 4th at 7:30PM vs. the Utah Warriors, and what we’re doing to celebrate:
Make Your Own Pride Sign station
Match ball delivery and National Anthem by Ms. Seattle (Sofia Da Silva)
Halftime Prom Dress Box Kick Challenge with Seattle Quake rugby
Seawolves Pride merchandise
More to come…
We would love to have you join us! This will be a celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community, and a way to reiterate that rugby is for everyone… regardless of gender identity, gender expression, or sexual orientation.
We would love if you would share this special discount ticket link with your community, whether on social, in your emails, etc., as another amazing way to celebrate Pride during the month of June. If you’d like to get a group together, we have special pricing on that!
We hope to see you at Starfire Stadium June 4th for our Pride Night!
Honoring Our AAPI PFLAG Families Last year, filmmaker Stephanie Tran (they/them), a young, queer, Vietnamese filmmaker, approached PFLAG National with an idea for a film to amplify and honor LGBTQ+ Asian, Asian-American, and Pacific Islander (AAPI) voices. Then COVID hit, and the way films were being made had to change quickly, putting the project on pause. We are so glad that, one year later, Stephanie is finally able to bring their vision to life. "This film," said Stephanie, "is extremely important to me because I hardly ever see myself represented in the media. It is my dream and my life's goal to change that."
We are #PFLAGProud to elevate our beloved AAPI families—and Stephanie's work—in honor of AAPI Heritage Month.
